Cactus Oil, a natural Anti Acne - My favorite Treatment - part 2

ANti Acne favorite treatment

In my previous blog, "Acne, What Should I Do?" I revealed that my favorite anti acne treatment is prickly pear seed oil, also known as Cactus Oil, and I promised to explain more in a future blog...

We've arrived. :-)

What's a prickly pear? It's that cactus-looking plant you see in the desert, right? Not exactly. Prickly pear seed oil is derived from the seeds of that same cactus plant, not from its fruit (which is technically called a "tunas"). So what does this ingredient do for your skin? A lot! I'm going to break down why and how prickly pear seed oil works with your skin so that you can start using it on yours.

First up, prickly pear seed oil doesn't come from actual pears; it's derived from the seeds of the cactus plant, it is also known as Cactus Oil.

You may have noticed that the word "pear" is part of prickly pear seed oil's name. If you think this means the oil comes from pears, you're not entirely off-base—but you could also be forgiven for being confused.

The name "prickly pear" refers to the cactus plant (Opuntia ficus-indica) whose fruit is also called the prickly pear. The plant itself has spines on it and grows in arid climates like those found in deserts and savannas around the world.

Prickly pear seed oil comes from an ingredient commonly used in beauty products: seeds from these plants' fruit.

As for the nose-in-the-air name, prickly pear seed oil is considered a "noble" oil.

There are two ways to extract the oil from a prickly pear cactus. The first is by pressing the seeds, which are collected from the plant's fruit. The second involves cooking the fruit and extracting juice or pulp containing some of this yummy goodness.

Once extracted, prickly pear seed oil can be used in foods such as salad dressings and sauces; it can also be added to personal care products like lotions and soaps (it's incredibly moisturizing). It even has applications in health supplements!

Other than being delightfully scrumptious on its own, this golden gem is considered a noble oil because of its ability to penetrate deep into skin tissue without leaving an oily residue behind.

According to Lortscher, the high amounts of vitamin E in prickly pear seed oil makes it a good choice for people with dry skin and sunburns.

Vitamin E is an antioxidant. It's a fat-soluble vitamin that helps protect your cells, especially their membranes, from damage by free radicals. Vitamin E can be found in many foods, including nuts and seeds like almonds and sunflower seeds; avocados; olive oil; whole grains such as brown rice and quinoa; eggs; fish such as mackerel or tuna—the list goes on! Vitamin E is also good for the skin: it helps prevent wrinkles and age spots. You may have seen products that contain vitamin E on store shelves—if this interests you but you don’t want to take dietary supplements (which are often expensive), then try shopping for creams or lotions with added vitamin E content instead of taking capsules every day!

Vitamin A (which is important for healthy hair) and vitamin C both play important roles in preventing wrinkles by keeping collagen levels up through the years—and since prickly pear seed oil contains high amounts of these vitamins too (as well as others), they all work together to keep your skin looking young while also giving it nutrients that can repair damage over time after exposure to ultraviolet rays from sunlight."

Prickly Pear seed oil or Cactus Oil is full of antioxidant and fatty acid that rejuvenate your skin. Its anti inflammatory properties also helps to reduce and treat acne.

Prickly pear seed oil has been used by the natives for centuries because of its many benefits on the skin. It is non comedogenic, which means it does not clog pores, making it an excellent choice for acne-prone skin types as well as for individuals who want to maintain a youthful appearance by preventing wrinkles and fine lines from forming around their eyes, mouth and forehead area.

Additionally, prickly pear seed oil contains linoleic acid (70%), which promotes cell renewal so new cells can grow more quickly than older ones do at any given time -- helping to improve elasticity within each pore while also reducing redness caused by inflammation due to pimples popping up all over your face! This dual benefit makes this product ideal if you're looking for something that not only gets rid but prevents future breakouts too! So what are you waiting for? Give us call today!!"

Conclusion

I love this Cactus oil for its rich texture and subtle scent. It’s also an excellent base for moisturizers and other skin care products because of its ability to absorb quickly into the skin without leaving behind a greasy residue.

I knew those breakouts would be a normal part of the process: it's a way to get rid of any remaining impurities in my skin.

Without giving up, I continued, and after a week, my skin was healthier and lighter, with no more breakouts, redness, or scars...

Furthermore, this is a pure organic product (be careful which one you choose if you decide to get one...
You must choose one that is pure, cold pressed, first extraction, and does not contain any additional oil or macerates...).
So I can use it safely on my face and on my children...
